Piano Level 2

About The Course

Piano Level 2 is designed for people who want to explore the creative possibilities of the instrument, and get started with music theory. Here we will develop an understanding of the theory of harmony. Things like how chords are built and used in songs. This will allow you to not only play the piano as a solo instrumentalist, but with other musicians as well.

Pre-Requisites

A decent understanding of the topics covered in Piano Level 1 is required to take this course. This includes the following:


  • Quarter, Half, Whole and Eighth notes and rests.

  • Articulations like staccato, legato and Dynamics like piano, forte.

  • Ability to read the notes on the grand staff.

  • Ability to recognize and play notes in C and G positions by ear.

  • Major scale formation and playing


Hardware needed:

  • Keyboard/Piano with velocity sensitive keys

  • Sustain pedal

  • Stable internet connection.

  • Laptop/Computer with a webcam.

Your credits will be carried forward to your current course, without any extra charge. Any credits purchased henceforth would be charged according to the current course you are enrolled in.

Do I have to go through Level 1 to reach level 2?

No, you only need to understand the topics covered in level 1. In case you are familiar with most of the topics but not all of them, you can attend level 2 directly, and cover those topics before moving on to the curriculum.
