About the course
This course is meant to make you familiar with the guitar. It doesn't matter what kind of guitar you have — whatever is in the house is enough to start.
We will learn how to use proper technique to play songs, so you can practice without hurting yourself and lay a solid foundation for advanced melodies that will come later.
We will also learn how to read music, making you able to learn independently instead of relying on teachers forever.
What you’ll be able to do
- Play melodies on the guitar in multiple positions across the fretboard
- Read sheet music on the staff as well as tabs
- Play basic chords along with pre-recorded tracks
- Understand music theory
- Play expressively using dynamics and articulations
- Develop proper technique for both hands
