Privacy policy
Plain version: we collect the details needed to arrange your lessons and talk to you about them, we keep them only as long as that requires, and we do not sell them to anyone. The rest of this page is the detail behind that sentence.

Who we are
Tune Epicenter (“Tune Epicenter”, “we”, “us”) runs an online music school teaching one-on-one classes over video calls. This policy covers www.tuneepicenter.com and the enquiry, scheduling and teaching activity that follows from it.
We are the controller of the personal information described below. If you want that information changed or deleted, write to admin@tuneepicenter.com.
What we collect
We collect four kinds of information, and nothing beyond what those four require.
1. Demo booking and enquiry details
When you book a free demo class or write to us, we collect the name of the student, the name of the parent or guardian where the student is a child, the student’s age or age range, an email address, a phone or WhatsApp number, your country or time zone, and whatever you tell us about the instrument you want to learn and the experience you already have.
2. Lesson and scheduling records
Once classes begin we keep your recurring class slot, attendance, rescheduling history and the teacher’s notes on what was covered and what to practise. These notes exist so that your teacher can pick up where the last class ended and so a covering teacher is not starting blind.
3. Payment records
We keep a record of which course and class bundle you bought, when, and whether it was paid. We do not collect or store card numbers. Payments are handled by a payment provider that takes those details directly; we only see confirmation that a payment succeeded.
4. Basic technical information about your visit
Our hosting provider records standard server information such as the pages requested, the approximate region of the request, the browser and the time. This is used to keep the site working and secure. It is not combined with your enquiry details to build a profile of you.
Why we collect it
- To answer your enquiry and run the demo class. We cannot arrange a one-on-one class without knowing who it is for and how to reach you.
- To deliver the lessons you have paid for. Scheduling, teaching notes, progress reviews and certificates all sit here.
- To handle money and keep required records. Invoices, receipts and the accounting records we are obliged to retain.
- To contact you about your own classes. Reminders, timing changes, a teacher being unwell, the end of a bundle.
- To keep the site and our systems secure. Server logs, abuse prevention, backups.
We do not send marketing email to people who have only enquired unless they have asked us to. Where we do send anything promotional, every message carries a working unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing never affects the classes you have booked.
Children’s data and parental consent
A large share of our students are under 18, and some are as young as six. We treat their information more carefully than an adult’s, and the practical rules are these.
- A child under 18 is enrolled by a parent or guardian, not by the child. The booking, the payment and the account details are the parent’s, and consent to process the child’s information comes from the parent.
- We collect the minimum about a child that teaching requires: first name, age, instrument, level and progress notes.
- Scheduling, billing and any serious conversation about a child’s progress goes to the parent or guardian. A parent may sit in on any class, at any time, without asking first.
- We do not use a child’s name, image, voice or work in marketing without separate, specific, written permission from their parent or guardian — and that permission can be withdrawn later.
- Classes are not recorded by us as a matter of course. If a recording would be useful — for example so a student can review a demonstration — the teacher asks the parent first and explains where the recording will be stored and for how long.
If you believe we hold information about a child that we should not, write to admin@tuneepicenter.com and we will delete it.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s advertising. We do rely on a small number of service providers to run the school, and they see only what their job requires:
- A video calling provider, which carries the class itself and therefore processes your name, the meeting link and the live audio and video during the class.
- An email provider, which delivers and stores our correspondence with you.
- A messaging provider, if you choose to contact us on WhatsApp. Messages you send that way are subject to that provider’s own terms as well as this policy.
- A payment provider, which processes your payment and holds the card details we never see.
- A hosting provider, which serves this website and keeps the server logs described above.
- Our own teachers and administrators, who are members of the school team, bound by confidentiality, and given access only to the students they actually teach or schedule.
We will also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to protect the safety of a student.
Because we teach students in India, United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Philippines, Brazil, Hungary, information may be processed in a country other than your own. We use established providers and require them to protect it to a comparable standard.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that never became lessons: deleted within 24 months, or sooner if you ask.
- Student and lesson records: kept while you are enrolled and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that a returning student is not starting from a blank page.
- Payment and accounting records: kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require, which is longer than we would otherwise keep them.
- Server logs: kept for a short operational window and then rotated out.
You can ask us to delete your information earlier. Where we can, we will.
Cookies and local storage
This website sets no cookies. There is no analytics tag, no advertising pixel and no tracking script on it.
There is exactly one thing we store in your browser: a region preference in local storage. When you choose a country on a course page so that prices show in your currency, that choice is saved in your own browser so you do not have to pick it again on the next page. It never leaves your device, it is not sent to us, it contains no personal information, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Pages on this site may link out to third-party services — WhatsApp, our social profiles, a video call, a payment page. Once you follow one of those links you are on their platform and their cookie and privacy practices apply, not ours.
How we protect it
Accounts used to run the school are protected by passwords and, where the provider supports it, two-factor authentication. Access to student records is limited to the teachers and administrators who need it. We do not store card details at all, which removes the single most sensitive category of data from our systems entirely.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach occurs that is likely to affect you, we will tell you and any relevant authority without unnecessary delay.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you or your child;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete information we no longer need to hold;
- stop sending you non-essential messages;
- provide a copy of what you gave us, in a readable format.
Write to admin@tuneepicenter.com from the address you contacted us with, or from the parent’s address where the student is a child. We aim to respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, and you do not have to raise it with us first.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information — a new tool, a new type of data, anything that affects the statements above — we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes affecting current students will also be sent by email rather than left here to be discovered.
How to contact us
For anything on this page, including deletion requests and questions about a child’s data, email admin@tuneepicenter.com. Our other contact routes are on the contact page, and our terms of service cover bookings, fees and cancellations.
