Terms of service
These are the rules of the arrangement between you and the school: what we agree to teach, what you agree to pay and turn up for, and what happens when something goes wrong. Written to be read, not to be skipped.

About these terms
These terms apply when you book a demo class, enrol in a course, or otherwise use www.tuneepicenter.com. They form an agreement between you — the student, or the parent or guardian enrolling a student under 18 — and Tune Epicenter.
Where the student is under 18, the parent or guardian is the party to this agreement and is responsible for payment and for the student’s conduct in class.
Our privacy policy forms part of these terms and explains how we handle the information you give us.
What we provide
We provide live, one-on-one music lessons over a video call, taught by a member of the school’s teaching team, following the published curriculum for the course you enrol in.
- Classes are individual. We do not teach these courses in groups.
- Classes are live and scheduled. We do not sell pre-recorded video courses, and a class is not a downloadable product.
- Courses are sold as a bundle of classes with a stated number of classes and a stated validity period, both confirmed to you in writing before you pay.
- The curriculum for each course is published on its course page. We may improve or reorder material within a course, but we will not remove a published outcome from a course you have already paid for.
The demo class and enrolment
The demo class is free, lasts about 30 minutes, is taught one-on-one and requires no payment details. Its purpose is to place you at the right level and let you judge the teaching before spending anything.
Booking a demo creates no obligation on either side. We may decline to enrol a student where we do not have a suitable teacher or slot available, or where the subject is not a good fit for the student’s age or setup — and we will say so plainly rather than take the booking anyway.
Enrolment happens when you accept a written summary of the course, the number of classes, the validity period and the fee, and pay for it.
Fees and payment
Fees depend on the course, its level and your country. The applicable price is shown on the individual course page and is confirmed to you in writing by the teacher and admissions counsellor before you pay. Nothing on this page sets a price.
- Fees are payable in advance of the classes they cover.
- Fees are quoted in the currency shown on the course page for your region. Currency conversion charges, foreign transaction fees and taxes applied by your bank or card issuer are yours to pay.
- Classes cannot begin until payment for the bundle has been received, unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
- We may change our published prices at any time. A change never affects a bundle you have already paid for.
Scheduling, rescheduling and missed classes
Your classes run at a recurring slot agreed with your teacher. That slot is reserved for you, which is why notice matters.
- Rescheduling. Tell your teacher in advance and we will move the class where the schedule allows. The required notice period is agreed with you at the start of the course and confirmed in writing.
- Late cancellation or non-attendance. A class cancelled inside the notice period, or missed without notice, is counted as taken.
- Lateness. A class ends at its scheduled end time. If you arrive late the class is not extended, because the teacher usually has another student immediately afterwards.
- If we cancel. If a teacher is unavailable, we will offer you a replacement class at a time that suits you, or a class credit. You are never charged for a class we could not deliver.
- Holidays and breaks. Tell us before a planned break and we will pause your schedule. Every bundle carries a validity period longer than its teaching period to absorb normal breaks, but classes not used within that validity period expire.
Cancellation and refunds
The cancellation and refund terms that apply to your bundle are confirmed to you in writing before you pay, and they vary with the length of the bundle and how far into it you are. Please read them at that point and ask about anything unclear — we would far rather answer an awkward question before payment than after it.
Where you have a statutory right of cancellation under the consumer law of your country, nothing in these terms removes it.
Refunds, where due, are made to the original payment method. Transaction fees charged by the payment provider may not be recoverable.
What we need from you
- A working setup. A device with a camera and microphone, a reasonably stable internet connection, and the instrument or equipment listed on your course page. Time lost to a student’s connection or equipment cannot be credited back.
- A workable camera angle. Teaching an instrument remotely means the teacher has to see your hands, posture or kit. Your teacher will help you set this up in the first class.
- Practice between classes. Progress depends on it. We will set specific practice tasks; doing them is your part of the arrangement.
- Accurate information. Age, contact details and time zone need to be right for scheduling and safeguarding to work.
Conduct and safeguarding
Classes are one adult and one student in a video call, and we take that seriously. Teachers are members of the school team and are expected to behave professionally at all times.
- A parent or guardian of a student under 18 may sit in on any class, at any time, without arranging it first.
- Teaching communication happens through the school’s own channels. If anything about a teacher’s conduct concerns you, report it to admin@tuneepicenter.com and we will act on it.
- We may end a course without refund for abusive, harassing or discriminatory behaviour towards a teacher, or for behaviour that makes teaching unsafe. This is not a clause we expect to use.
Recordings and privacy in class
We do not routinely record classes. If a recording would help — for instance so a student can rewatch a demonstration — the teacher asks first, and asks the parent or guardian where the student is under 18.
You may record your own class for personal practice use if you tell your teacher first. Recordings of a class may not be published, shared publicly or used commercially by either side without the written agreement of everyone in the call.
Course materials and copyright
Worksheets, exercises, notation, backing tracks, diagrams and any other material we give you are licensed to you for your own personal learning, for as long as you want to keep using them.
They may not be copied for other students, uploaded, resold, or used to teach other people. Third-party repertoire remains the property of its copyright holders; we teach it, we do not license it to you.
Music you write in class is yours. We will not use a student’s work, name, image or voice in any marketing without separate written permission, and that permission can be withdrawn.
Results, exams and certificates
We publish the outcomes each course aims at and we teach towards them honestly. We cannot guarantee a particular standard of playing, an exam grade, an audition result or a career outcome, because those depend heavily on practice, aptitude and time.
A completion certificate from us records what you covered with the school. It is not an external qualification, and we do not present it as one. Where a recognised credential is the goal, we prepare students for graded exams run by external boards, whose entry rules, fees and results are theirs and not ours.
Suspension and ending a course
You can stop at any time. Whether any unused portion of a bundle is refundable depends on the cancellation terms confirmed to you before payment.
We may suspend or end a course where fees are unpaid, where the conduct rules above are broken, or where we genuinely cannot continue to provide a suitable teacher. In the last case we will refund the unused portion of your bundle.
Liability
We are responsible for delivering the classes you have paid for, with reasonable skill and care. We are not responsible for interruptions caused by your internet connection, your device, your instrument, or a third-party platform being unavailable.
Learning an instrument is physical. Follow your teacher’s guidance on posture, hand position, warm-up and volume, take breaks, and stop and seek medical advice if something hurts. Singers in particular should stop rather than push through vocal discomfort.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, our total liability in connection with a course is limited to the amount you paid us for it.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, and the version published here at the time you enrol is the version that applies to that enrolment. Material changes affecting current students will be sent by email rather than left here to be discovered.
Governing law
The governing law and the courts with jurisdiction over any dispute will be stated here once the school’s registered entity and jurisdiction are confirmed. Nothing in this agreement removes any mandatory consumer protection you have under the law of the country you live in.
If something goes wrong, please raise it with us first at admin@tuneepicenter.com. Almost everything is fixable by a conversation.
